Artist Profile

HannahLizzie (b. 1996, Kent) is a Fine Art Film Photographer who utilises monochrome to strip subjects of colour and reveal a vulnerable truth. Turning physiological scars into a tangible visual language, a process by hand.

Her work is a quiet kind of making, broadly revolved around figurative representations of the human psyche. In exploring trauma-affected memory through expressive visuals and natural decay, a wilted flower becomes a metaphor, a medium and a creative device. Shadow and light, natural and neurological become entangled in a narrative where one is the other, a perspective crucially underpinning her art practice and creative process in its entirety.
