About Me

My work broadly revolves around figurative representations of the human psyche. In exploring trauma-affected memory through expressive visuals and natural decay, a wilted flower becomes a metaphor, a medium and a creative device. Natural and neurological become entangled in a narrative where one is the other, a perspective crucially underpinning my art practice and creative process in its entirety.

Black and white film photography is my preferred medium, authentically organic to my practice; a process by hand. Monochrome echoes a sense of truth in an image, where vibrancy of colour cannot distract or accentuate, leaving subjects exposed.

Mixed media, texturally confronting the conventions of painting, mirrors the tones and mediums of my photographic investigations. Engaged responses to narrative become physical in this realm, showcasing the tactility of human psychology.
