Painting with Flowers (Visual Sensations)

The fascinating process of decay, evoked in the dulled vibrancy of rich, earthly tones. Substrates diluted by the passing of time, hollowed shells of seeds suspended in glue. Painting with flowers is a notion which directs a heavily weighted counter-side to my artistic process. Laid down on cavas material in abstract, floral arrangements, the physicality of the material and its malleable, delicate quality presents itself as a painterly medium. To reimagine the rationale of painting in this profound portrayal of the traditional method, is to reclaim its intended purpose in ways which conflict our expectations and understanding of making. Observing affected, natural deterioration through expressions of human despair inspires the progression of my creative endeavours, altering the parameters of figurative representation.
