‘Where the Weeds Grow’, 2025.
This collection of works focus on the growth of trauma. Carefully constructed, considered and individually placed over a year-long period, the painting is a gradual winding of delicate stems, seedlings, leaves and petals that part at the base and reconvene at the top. In their associations, weeds withstand the most hostile of environments, absorbing every nutrient from the soil. A visually repetitive act of making; death captured in all stages. The film photography prints included, are crucial to reiterating the visuals of trauma-affected memory; tarnished, altered and blurred.
